Located in the heart of Izmir,
Demirtas Ltd. is a family-owned company, founded
by Ekrem Demirtas in 1982. Demirtas imports, distributes,
represents worldwide brands in the Food and Beverage
industry and exports honey. We import and distribute
both for the domestic market and for the Duty Free
market via our branch in the Aegean
Free Zone. Demirtas is one of the few companies
that have received the permit for importing and
distributing alcoholic drinks in Turkey.
Our product portfolio includes Scotch Whiskey,
Vodka and FAB products from the U.K.;
Vodka and liquors from
Germany; Rum from Guyana; Limoncello from Italy;
Cachaça from Brazil; Wine from Romania; flavoured
coffee,
cocktail
syrups, liqueurs and wine from France; Tequila
from Mexico; Burbouns from USA; Djarum clove cigarettes,
cigars and cigarillos
from Indonesia. Demirtas actively
participates in outstanding Food and Drinks exhibitions
and evaluates new brands to add to its portfolio.
Since our entry into the Food and Beverage sector,
we formed a partnership with our sister company,
Elda A.S. in order to produce the first private
label brand of Turkish Rakı. Turkish Rakı is the
top-selling domestic spirit in Turkey, which until
recently had been in a State monopoly. This partnership
will utilize the synergies between the two companies
and provide a strong leverage for both of them in
distribution and marketing channels.
