Toward the end of the last century, when the Massa
family entertained their guests at Villa Massa,
it was their custom to offer a liquor produced from
pure alcohol and the peel of fresh lemons grown
in the family's lemon orchards on the sun drenched
plain of Sorrento. Now, as then, this centuries-old
family hospitality continues and guests are still
served this time honored homemade liquor.
The special blending of the essence of freshly picked
Sorrentine lemons and alcohol, gives Villa Massa
lemon liquor a unique taste. The Sorrentine lemon
is so unique in its taste that it was recognized
by the European Community as a "Protected Geographic
Location" product.
Villa Massa Limoncello is best served cold, right
from the freezer, or is delightful when introduced
as a special ingredient in cocktails. |
