The success story of Wodka Gorbatschow begins in
far-off St. Petersburg where Leontowitsch Gorbatschow
managed a successful vodka distillery. In 1917
- in the upheaval of the October revolution- he
immigrated with his family to Berlin, the home
of many Russian immigrants at that time. There,
Leontowitsch Gorbatschow re-started his vodka production
for his fellow countrymen using special, well-guarded
recipes. It was not long before the pure, clear
distillate from Russia was also discovered by the
citizens of Berlin and then, after the war by Germany
as a whole.
Committed to highest standards, Wodka Gorbatschow
is carefully filtered three times over charcoal,
achieving an unsurpassed degree of clarity and
smoothness, as the quality of vodka is defined
by its purity. The effort paid off. Around 1.3
million cases of Wodka Gorbatschow are sold all
over the world. Wodka Gorbatschow is the clear
market leader in the German vodka segment.
Wodka Gorbatschow lies in third place in the
entire spirits market in Germany and has established
itself as the best known vodka brand in Germany.
Furthermore, Wodka Gorbatschow is one of the
top 15 premium vodkas in the world and with over
a million cases sold. It is a member of the “Club
of Millionaries”. In 2006, Wodka Gorbatschow
was awarded the Monde Selection Gold Medal.
