Glenfiddich is the best-selling single malt Scotch whisky in the world. One in every five bottles of single malt whisky sold in the world is a bottle of Glenfiddich.

UNIQUE
Glenfiddich is the only Highland Scotch whisky to be distilled, matured and bottled at its own distillery.

INDEPENDENT
Glenfiddich was founded by William Grant in 1886 and is owned by the same family today. It is one of only a handful of Scotch whisky distillers to remain in family hands.

PIONEERING
Glenfiddich put Scotch whisky on the map. By 1914 it had 60 agencies abroad; now it is sold in 180 countries on every continent in the world.

INNOVATIVE
Glenfiddich became so popular and customers so curious that a visitors' centre at its Dufftown distillery was opened in 1969. This was the first Scottish distillery to do so, though many others have since copied the idea.

AWARD WINNING
Voted world's best single malt Scotch whisky, 2003 . A panel of 75 independent whisky experts in three countries voted Glenfiddich 40 Year Old Rare Collection the world's best single malt Scotch whisky in a competition held by the trade bible, Whisky Magazine.

William Grant and Sons won "Distiller of the Year" at the International Wine and Spirit Competition an unprecedented two years in a row in 1999 and 2000 and then the International Spirits Challenge "Distiller of the Year" in 2001.

FORWARD THINKING
Glenfiddich is the only Scotch whisky distillery to use a single source of natural spring water. The family bought 1200 acres of the Conval Hills that surround the distillery to protect the purity of their supply.

From the source of the Robbie Dhu springs, the water is piped directly to the distillery, so nothing can get to the water - not even cattle or sheep are allowed there.

As they bottle at source, the soft and clear Robbie Dhu spring water is used both for mashing and bottling. They are the only Scotch whisky distiller in the Highlands to do this.
