Efe Raki is the first privately produced Raki in Turkey. Raki production had been in a government monopoly from 1931 until June 2003, when a new regulation came into force. With this change, a company named ELDA built a factory from bare ground, in 20,000 m2 of land, to produce Efe Raki. The fully automated factory was built in 12 months with the latest technology and the best equipment from Italy. The initial capacity was set at 5,000,000 liters but expandable to 15,000,000 liters annually.

Efe Raki entered the Turkish domestic market in September of 2004. It was exported to Germany and Austria in the same month. Negotiations are ongoing for exports to other countries as well. Demirtas is appointed as the Duty Free distributor for Efe Rakı.

Efe Raki brought together the experts to produce the taste that defines Raki by an authentic recipe. Selected top-quality grapes and anis seeds of the Aegean coast gives Efe Raki its distinct taste and unmistakable aroma every time. Triple-distilled grape alcohol is redistilled in pot stills to offer the quality that is appreciated by even the most discriminating Raki drinkers.

Our range also includes a high end premium rakı Sarı Zeybek, a smoother and limited edition of Efe; Efe Fresh Grapes and Çilingir Rakı. Sarı Zeybek is made with triple distilled %100 grape alcohol from the Aegean region. The grape alcohol is the re-distilled in copper pot-stills twice more with anis seeds from the Tefenni region to give superior smoothness.

Sarı Zeybek is matured in oak barrels where it takes on its unique color and aroma. Sarı Zeybek can be especially enjoyed cold and straight, or by fşrst adding water and ice which gives it a characteristic white cloudiness.

Fresh grapes raki has a remarkably smooth taste. According to Efe’ s special distillation recipe, the fresh grapes of the Aegean region are triple distilled immediately after the harvest and then redistilled in pot stills with selected anise seeds. Efe Fresh grapes Rakı is rated top quality by the experts for its rich aftertaste and smoothness on the palate.
